Web Help Desk Requestors

Postby Brenda Walling on Tue Mar 30, 2004 6:24 pm

We just upgraded today to AN 4.3 and noticed the arrow down option to select requestors is now gone. How do we get that back?

You do not need to restore the dropdown list back - version 4.3 is using the filtering option instead. Example, you want to see all Tickets where "Requester" was "Brenda Walling". All you need is typing in "b" and hit "Apply Filter", this will bring you a list of Tickets with the requestor name(s) start from "b" (or "B").

Our setup is slightly different, we use a location code in front of the name so we would have to put that first. Does this mean the missing arrow down option was intentional and is not coming back?

Yes, replacing the dropdown list with the filtering option was intentional - by design and it is permanent.

Where exactly is this filter option? I don't have any options to filter tickets.

You can get details on using the filtering option by clicking the Help link in the web interface.

I only get a single help page with this heading 'Web Help Desk (End User)
Introduction' Do I not have something enabled/setup right?

This is expected- filtering is a feature of the Technician's Web Help Desk, and not present in the User's Web Help Desk.
