Most Reports not working.. various errors

Postby SitusIT on Mon Aug 30, 2010 3:21 pm

So what's the trick to running reports after the upgrade to AN6. I've tried several reports ... either no data is returned or an error box stating "failed to retreive data from database" I was never crazy about the reporting function in the previous version, so never used it (was basically worthless, at least to me), but was under the impression the reporting functions were greatly improved ?

those issues may be from v5 reports. they changed some field names like completed to completed_date. this may cause older reports not to work. did you get new reports during the upgrade?

Just caught this post and am a bit surprised to hear you didn't see any new reports. In the short term I created a knowledge base article with all the new AN6 reports attached so you can get them there if in fact you don't have them..

Alloy Navigator 6.0.1 Reports

.., but for the long term, I'm curious what path you took to get to AN6?

Did you upgrade your AN6 database? Did you create a new database?

It was my understanding new reports would be there regardless of the path you take to AN6, but I'd like to make sure there are no issues we're unaware of. Any help is much appreciated.
