Creating ADT files From Network Audits

Postby LoneWolfBW on Mon Jun 08, 2009 12:05 pm

Hello,

Currently I do the bulk of my audits for Alloy Discovery 5 via a portable audit media - I have quite a few laptop users who do not connect to our network often, plus since I am dealing with university faculty, they prefer to see me doing the audit. As a result, it is easier for me to use the USB drive method.

As part of policy requirements, I have created a separate repository for all .ADT files created by the USB audit key, and they are stored elsewhere in case we have to restore the audit database.

There have been some machines that I could not do via USB for various reasons, and as such I had to use a network audit. However, because of this there is no .ADT file as there is when I use the portable audit media. To be in compliance with my requirements, I need to be able to create or find a .ADT file from these network audits. Is this possible, and if it so how? I was not able to find it so far.

Try checking in the repository. This is the main area the program reads the snapshots from and all .adt files regardless of the audit method will eventually be sent there. You can find out info on your repository folder under tools -> options.
