Configure Unique ID - Mac Address?

We are currently using Alloy Network Inventory 4.2, and are having a small issue with machines inventorying over our VPN client access software. Basically, the Cisco VPN software has a virtual network adapter with it's own mac address and this mac address is the same on every computer. This mac address is recorded in any scans performed over a remote access connection, these are then listed as conflicting in Allow Network Inventory app.

The data is still reliable; ina32.ini file is fine on all of these machines so it isn't causing a major issue, we just ignore the conflicts and the next time the user is on the lan, the mac address is updated with the LAN nic; however it would be appreciated for the sake of tidyness if some one knows if there is a way to stop using the mac add. as a unique id in this version, or if this functionality is available in a later version?

I use both Discovery and Navigator and Discovery (was Network Inventory) does not, that I know of, allow you to stop MAC addresses from being considered conflicting, but Navigator does. There's an area in Navigator that allows you to choose which fields are unique or not.
