Error when attempting discovery by IP range

I get this error no matter what IP range I attempt to run a discovery for. I have also attempted different local admin and domain admin accounts for the audit credentials.

IP Address Computer Name Status Failed (Access violation at address 76D64E16. Read of address 76D64E16 (2))

Do you use Alloy Discovery 5 or one of our previous versions? Please contact Support using a regular channel.

I spoke with someone at Alloy's support and they were able to give me a workaround. They sent me below information also said it would be fixed in an upcoming patch. Oh and in regards to above post asking about version, I am using Alloy Discovery 5.

1. For the IP range based audit group that experiences the issue, open the group's properties and clear the "Discover only active computers" checkbox on the Options tab.

This checkbox makes the application ping a machine before collecting information on it. If the machine doesn't respond to pings, it is skipped. This method makes the discovery process go faster.

If you uncheck the box, the discovery process will be a tad slower, but it will complete without issues.

2. Re-start the application and re-start the discovery process for the problem audit group.
