Automatic archiving

Postby GPS on Tue Nov 27, 2007 2:22 am

Would it be possible for Alloy to have an Archive feature which would automatically move itmes (such as Incident Tickets) to an archive database once they reached a certain age? An example is Incident Tickets older than 'x' amount of months move from the production to archive D/B to reduce load/search times. It would be handy to still be able to access from the production environment and not have to log off and on to a different D/B each time. This could also be expanded to other items such as Hardware and Computers. Once they are 'Retired' they would move to the archive after a period of time.

Cheers

We have an existing feature request for this. I added your request to it to show demand.

Please include me as well for this feature request to show demand because our tickets # and users grow quite a bit since we set it up so we need some way to better manage this.
Thanks
