Proper computer asset retirement

Postby rexnmiller on Mon Apr 28, 2008 12:41 pm

Do all links to software need to be removed before retiring a computer? Or do the software links to retired assets not count against the total license count for any given software product?

I know they did in the old system where we were forced to actually remove the assets from the database to retire them. I am trying to correct my procedure documentation. Thank you.

Hey Rex,

Related discovered software information should automatically be removed when a computer is retired.
