Stopping and starting does not force run

Postby rexnmiller on Wed Mar 19, 2008 7:05 pm

In the Alloy Navigator Administrator's Guide it says, "Run the Inventory Server Configurator from the Start menu and restart the service. This will force the audit snapshot to be imported."

Stopping and restarting the Inventory Server service does not force the data collection cycle to run.

I have confirmed that the data collection cycle is successful but only when it is scheduled to run - not run on command as is suggested in the documentation.

Am I doing something wrong or is there another way to run a manual data collection?

My mistake. I've looked at the Network Inventory - Upload Sessions and I now see that There are sessions that ran when I started and stopped the service.
