Triggering scripts from within AN ticket

Postby Poul on Wed May 23, 2007 2:39 am

Hi,

We are looking at the feasibility of converting our existing (Domino based) Change Control system over to using Change Request tickets in AN, however, we have hit a snag.

Our existing system will for some types of changes generate some files that are FTP'ed to the maninframe system for execution.

Is there any way that we can get AN to trigger the execution of a script on the server from within a Change Request ticket? We need to be able to transfer some of the variables from the ticket as parameters for the script.

Cheers
Poul

There's no way to do this with A5. You can configure A5 to work with external applications to an extent, but you can't schedule scripts/exes to run or have them run based on business rule criteria.
