Most asset tracker have the ability to have an image of the asset linked to the asset. Just curious if this was or is being considered... Right now I use the Links tab but i have to go to tab then open image... would be helpful to have image of asset shown on General tab... Proabley cant do with this update but maybe can be considered for future versions...

When you say image do you mean a photo image?

Yes an image file, like a gif, jpeg, pgp... That image thumbnail is displayed when you open the asset information... Alloy is one of the few asset tracker i have seen that doesnt have the ability to show a thumbnail of the asset.

Honestly I haven't seen a feature request for it, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been considered. I'll make sure to enter the request for you though.

I have a couple questions. I'm not sure I've taken full notice of this in other systems, so I want to understand how it works.

Would the thumbnail replace the icon in the upper left?
Do you have the ability to view it in higher resolution if you click it?
Where is that image stored? In the record I guess?

Is there any other related functionality that I'm missing?

No the icons on the left can stay generic...

I have attached a screen shot of another asset tracker program. When you click on an asset you get general info about the asset and a picture.

I dont think you need HD or the need to make it bigger(but should be larger than a thumbnail), might be nice to add a link to the maunufactures website... but not really that important... this is more so you can look and say ok that employee has one of the old style cases, which in my mind tells me a lot of things without having to take more time drilling down to the detailed asset infomation...

Again proabley to late for this update but should be considered for future updates.
