What are Virtual Fields?

I am customizing Alloy6 for our company needs. We already use Alloy5.
What are Virtual Fields (used in business logic forms)?

They are temp field that only exist for that situation. Once a field is virtual you can do lots of things with them.

I guess an example would be - you can create a virtual checkbox field called "Email Vendor" and then in the programming tab use an "IF GROUP" to check if "Email Vendor" is true. If it is, send an email notification.

Also, keep in mind that it's good for passing values to other objects. If you want to send the activity details from a problem to an incident you need to make activity details virtual. Update activity details with the virtual value and use that virtual value to pass it to the incident.

Hope that makes sense. It's a nifty thing.
