Database Migration

Is there a reason why both the AN5 and AN6 databases has to be on the same SQL server in order to migrate? The database migration wizard only gives the choice of a single server.

I believe there are a couple of limitations involved. For instance, it may not be possible to copy user accounts from one server to another. In our case we can keep all accounts working.
