Recurrent Tickets

Postby tdibuono@srcinc.com on Fri Jan 22, 2010 9:53 am

why are recurrent tickets that we had in alloy 5 no longer shown as recurrent tickets in alloy 6? how do we make them recurrent? i found the templates were imported into the admin settings / business logic / incidents / work flow / actions / create. is there a reason they are just regular incident templates now, and how do i switch them back to recurrent?

open up one of the create it actions and see on the general tab at the bottom where it says 'this action can be used for creating' If you set this to 'recurrent tickets only' they'll show up in the recurrent tickets section to be scheduled.

this happened to me too.

Can either of you guys confirm exactly what happens?

I can see you're saying they are converted over to create actions and this is expected, but what is the setting under 'This action can be used for creating?'

The option Regular Tickets only is selected.

I can not change it to that because the second 2 options are grayed out...

Thanks for reporting this one. We confirmed it the cause.

It appears that when <Full Form> is selected in the form tab of a Create Action, all options but 'Regular Tickets' will be grayed out. If you click on 'Make Custom' then the options are available. For now, on upgrade it seems this is the way all recurrent tickets come over.
