Are you having issues only with the on-demand audit? For instance, are you able to manually audit a Windows Vista machine by running ina32.exe?

Sounds like a possible rights issue and/or access issue. I'd contact support directly about it since we may have to ask you for some additional information and/or files and the forum really isn't the best arena for that.

Actually I see that support has already responded to you on this. I may have mispoke a bit as I usually work with Alloy Navigator 5 more than Network Inventory 4.

Hello, Kamil.

Alloy Network Inventory 4 is not fully compatible with Vista machines. You can audit Vista machines with the latest versions of ina32.exe (scheduled audit or via logon script), however you cannot on-demand audit them or install the product on Vista computers.

We will offer a full support in the next version that is currently in QA. I think we will release the new version in about two months and the exact release date is not scheduled yet.

Network Inventory 5 is currently in testing. That version will have full support for Windows Vista machines.
