"Customize" audit

Postby kirana on Mon Feb 18, 2002 11:59 am

Is there a way to force proper identification of software from an audit? For example, Adobe Acrobat Reader is recognized as Adobe Acrobat. Obviously, we need to be able to distinguish between the two for license auditing. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks

Hello,

Unfortunately, Adobe does not provide a clear way to tell the reader from full edition. Both, the uninstall database and the file version info report it as \"Adobe Acrobat\". However, we are working on a feature that will provide the ability to filter and categorize installed software. Based on the file name, file size and other parameters you will be able to provide alternative names for installed software products. We anticipate this feature to be available in 3-4 months.

Best regards.
