Hi

I am using AN5 and in AN4 I could see all applications on all PC's then generate a report of what software was installed on what PC. I cannot seem to do this currently? Also is how can I create said report in CR11 if this is possible.

Cheers

I had this same problem. Even with lots of help from Alloy technical support we were unable to duplicate the retrieval of information supplied in software installations with the reporting function of Crystal Reports.

The drastically reduced functionality of software recognition manager ( you can't join software product together anymore ) and the inability to report on software installations meant for me that v5 is at the moment completely unusable as an audit tool, so we are back using v4.

However, I have been assured by Alloy that this loss of functionality will be restored with release 5.2.

In May 2006 Alloy said this would be out in 3 months, at the beginning of Jan 1 month. Still waiting and still hoping it arrives soon, as when we tried out v5 there were admittedly other things which looked pretty cool.

Any news on this alloy?
Any news, Alloy, on when this functionality will be restored to v5?

5.2 was released last week (15th). It's available in the support portal.

Additionally, software joining is available in 5.1 and we have a report we can supply you with if you need it. Both become easier with 5.2 though.
