Scanned files not in SRM

Postby aross02 on Wed Aug 10, 2005 10:13 am

I have created a .scn file with summary details of a certain file type (.pst). The scan worked correctly and I can see the file summary details in the snapshot viewer.

It was my understanding that when I imported the updates, the unidentified file would show in the Software Recognition Manager, where i would then be able to attach it to a new recognition rule.

I do not see anything in the SRM under the Unrecognized files tab.

My question is threefold:

1. Can someone confirm that I shoudl be able to add a recognition rule for something other than and exe, dll etc in this way?
2. If the answer to 1. is Yes, then any ideas what might be going wrong?
3. Is there any way to reprot/extract this file summary information?

Currently running An 4.4.1 build 1568

Thanks
