I am currently looking at NIN to use for Asset management and a question has come up:

How does NIN keep record of the computer? We have changed the machine name, usernames, and NIC and it still knows when to update versus creating a new audit on an existing machine. Does it store a file or use something on the machine to know it is the same?

Thanks in advance

Have a look in your Windows/WINNT folder and you\'ll find ina32.ini. This is what keeps a track of when to run the audit etc.
