Is there a test or evaluation version for Linux?

The evaluation version of the Linux Inventory Analyzer will be available approximately in two weeks.

Note that this program is an Inventory Analyzer for scanning Linux machines, it is not a version of Alloy Network Inventory for Linux. No such product is currently planned.

So it is something like an ina32.exe running on Linux machines?

Which operating systems are supported, which are not?
Is it compatible with all Linux distributions and kernels?
Is it also usable for UNIX machines?
