Trying to understand Strict Schedule

Postby condabas on Thu Jun 17, 2004 1:53 pm

After doing audits for a while now, we want to start having them going off every month via a script for NT4. After working with the Audit wizard for some time, I came up with the idea of having 3 different ina32.exe profiles for our systems:

1 for our scripts to run once a month based on strict scheduling.

1 for running now when a change is made to a PC so we can record that change which runs silently

and 1 for running now when a change is made to a pc so we can record that change which runs interactively.

The issue we are running into is we think since we have the strict sheduling going for one of our audit types, it will not allow us to run our other audits when we need to.

Can I get some clarification on how your strict auditing works and if our setup is workable.

This setup is fine. You just need to either have three separate deployment, or supply appropriate command line parameters to ina32.exe. Any parameters you supply to ina32.exe will override the ina32.cfg configuration.
