Edit or set Audit ID

I\'m just wondering if it\'s possible to set the Audit ID manually at all? I\'m assuming this would have to be done via a command line switch or something with ina32.exe but there doesn\'t seem to be the option.

We\'re trialling NIN at the moment with a view to implementing it over a WAN of approximately 1300 computers and would like to use the computer name as the Audit ID rather than the number used by default.

Is there any way to go about this?

Using the new version of Network Inventory Navigator (the beta release was just announced) you can instruct ina32.exe to use the computer name as asset tag.
Since you a trialing our product, you may want to consider downloading the new beta version to see how this feature works (and get familiar with other new features and improvements). The new version of ina32.exe included with version 3.0.1 supports the /? option for a list of available command-line switches.
