Service Pack availability

Postby isamoylov on Sun May 12, 2002 2:23 pm

Hello.
We\'re wondering if it could be possible to have the service pack level appear in the Computer List tab?
We check the column available selection, but didn\'t find it, while it is the right complement to the synopsis show there...
Thank your for your help / comments.

You can simply follow the standard procedure of adding new columns to the computer list:

1. Open the template.adt file in a text editor

2. Increment the column count at the top of the file by the number of columns you are going to add:

[Columns]
Count=14

3. Add a new column definition at the bottom of the file (make sure you put the correct number as column index)

[Column13]
Caption=\"Service Pack\"
Section=Info
Key=OS_ServicePack

-------------------------------------------
Here is a hint on how to know which Sections and Keys are available for picking:

Use any text editor (Notepad) to open an existing snapshot file. You will see that snapshot files use the standard windows INI files format. All data is grouped into \"sections\" and values are identified with \"Keys\".
So, you just need to select the correct section/key combination to pull the required value.
