Command-line options for ina32

Postby jsp91470 on Fri May 03, 2002 6:22 pm

I am trying to use the /entertag command-line option to specify the asset tag on my computers but I can\'t get it to pick up the tag I specify. What\'s the syntax? What I really want to do is use it in my login script (Kixtart) with something like this:

$pcid = ReadValue(\"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareFunk Software, Inc.Proxy HostSettings\",\"Name\")
run \"\\dc2sysappsinventoryina32.exe /entertag=$pcid\"

so that the asset tag will always be the same as the station ID of our remote control software. I declare a variable that is equal to the station ID as it is in the registry, then run ina32 and pass it the variable.

Can I do this, and how? What\'s the syntax for the /entertag switch?

/entertag option just enables the Asset Tag field for manual input.
We will need to implement another command-line option for providing the asset tag from the script. Please e-mail for assistance.
