Empty SCN files ?

Postby francisducharme on Tue Nov 04, 2008 10:44 am

Hi there!

We use ina32.exe (v 4.8.1.1328) that comes along with Alloy Discovery 5 and we have this problem where if we launch a direct scan (by IP), the SCN will be filled with what it should (PST files) but if we use ina32.exe in the login script, it doesn't work. The SCN will have the ADT header with some other garbage caracters in it, but no bigger than 1k.

The login script launches it with this command line: x:\directory\ina32.exe /cfg=L:\ina32.cfg

L: is a network share where all computers are mapped to at login time.

The log says

Code: Select all
FILE SNAPSHOT CREATED: \\invsvr\inventory$\Actual\WHATEVER_001D09BD8D77.scn

But still, the SCN file won't be any bigger than 1k even if there are a bunch of PST files on the computer.

Here's what I have in the CFG related to the scan:

Code: Select all

[FilesSummary]
*.PST=

[Directories]
c:\=

Thanks for any help!

Will do!

By the way, I read that you can only have detailed scan OR summary scan. I've already tried to have only one of these options in the CFG file.

Version 5 allows you to capture both, detailed and summary information in a single audit.
