Custom Reports: What is the best method for making your own?

What is the best method for making your own reports? Is there any advantage to using the Report Designer in Asset Navigator, or would I be better off using Access to open my database and creating my weekly reports there?

We use an Access database to hold all of our data. The main report I am looking for is a software report that shows changes in software on a weekly basis. Software added/removed would be ideal, but software added alone would be good enough for now.

Any input would be appreciated.

This is completely up to you as you can access the data using virtually any reporting tool.

Consider this - the Report Designer is provided with Asset Navigator 4.x with no additional charge. All canned reports are created using this tool.
