Registry entries audited.... Now what??

Postby rbricker99 on Wed May 12, 2004 3:21 pm

We have an internal client version stored in the registry.

I've successfully captured it in the audit, but how do I access it??

Can I define a software product by the registry entry?? and then report on who has the software?

Or should I try to report against it directly.. if so how?? The audit data is stored as a BLOB. How do I report against it?

Thanks.

Custom registry keys are accessed from the System Overview tab of the Audit Info windows for a machine. In an upcoming release you will be able to map them to the Computer List grid as well. It is not possible to defined software recognition rules based on registry keys.

It is also not currently possible to report against the BLOB, though it is possible that we will add a facility for such reporting in a future version.
