More problems with IP numbers

Postby docdante on Fri Apr 30, 2004 7:01 pm

I had networks defined according IP range. I deleted some machines but IP numbers were still there. I redefined the IP range in the network and loaded audit data again with IPs in this range. The program mantained old IP numbers in the network and put new numbers under "no network". I had to delete al IPs, load audit data and then the program included IPs in the network.
Is that a bug?

No, that is not a bug. You removed an association between asset and IP address by deleting machine and this does nothing with the IP address itself; it is still listed in the 'IP Addresses - List'. If you do not need an IP address stored in the Asset Navigator database you need to delete it from IP Addresses list.
