ina32.exe uses 99% of CPU and hangs on some PC's

Postby chutcheson on Wed Apr 28, 2004 1:12 pm

Im using Asset Navigator 4.3, running the ina32.exe script from the login script when users login. Some users it works fine, other users it hangs on and never finishes, ina32.exe utilizes 99% CPU and never does anything. Any ideas? It's on an XP machine, but It works on other XP machines...

Thanks

Does ina32 run successfully if you call it after login?

still doesn't work running it locally, there are a couple of PC's that this happens on. Here is my Login Script for AN:

REM Mapping drive for Asset Navigator
ifmember "BX Inventory"
if not errorlevel 1 goto ENDAN
net use x: \\BXFP01IT_INVENTORYSharedAgent
START /WAIT x:ina32.exe
net use x: /delete
:ENDAN

It never makes it to the global.log file either. It just sits there using 99% of the CPU power.

Please run 'ina32 /debug /force' from the command line of one of the problem machines. Then zip your ina32 Log folder and email it to support@alloy-software.com, along with a reference to forum ID 2435 and the name of the machine you ran it on.
