Linux Auditing

Postby levka on Fri Jan 04, 2008 5:31 am

Hi all,

I have windows environment plus some linux servers.

I need some help to audit inventory data of the linuxes. Where can I find the Linux ina?

I have a few thin clients that run on Linux as well and I wonder if I can audit data from them even if it's not automated (ran by me).

Is there any way to show a vendors drop down in the computer details window?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Levka,

First, what product and version are you using? You posted in both the Alloy Navigator 5 forums and in Alloy Network Inventory 4 forums. I'll assume that you're asking for Alloy Navigator 5, but correct me if I'm wrong.

You'll want to launch the Inventory Server Configurator and then go to the Linux & Mac tab. Once there you can configure and build the package. This package will contain the executables for both Linux and Mac.
