We set up the self service function wtih intergrade authentication but when users go to the web site authentication fails.

We have already imported our AD and set up a generic user account to impersenate which is alloyadmin.

Can you post an error message and some background of your setup?

For instance, is SQL and IIS on same or different machines, etc.

Make sure the user is in Navigator's user list

If so, you may want to try putting the domain in front of their username at the login screen.

i.e., our AD is set up on DOMAIN1 hence the user login is:

DOMAIN1\<username>

If this works then:

If outside your network you have to live with it, though 5.3 is supposed to default the domain name and fix this

If inside your network, check that the portal url is in the browser's trusted sites (under Tools/Security/Trusted Sites) and that the Authorization security (under Custom Level for Trusted Site security at the very bottom of the list) is set to automatic logon.

Hope this helps you out
