Cursor operation conflict

Postby The23web on Wed Dec 27, 2006 3:58 pm

While in Alloy Navigator whenever we try to modify a workorder or add a attachment we receive a Cursor operation conflict. I research this dbase and found a call close to my issue but I followed the advice and backup up the dbase and recreated the trans log but that did not fix the issue. Do you have any other suggestions?

Run-time error -2147217885 (80040e23) Cursor operation conflict
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ID: KB000673 Modified: 7/17/2006 2:38:59 PM
Version: 0.1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When saving changes to an object you may get an error similar to:

Run-time error -2147217885 (80040e23) 'Cursor operation conflict'

The reason for this is that the SQL Server 2000 cursor update behavior for INSTEAD OF triggers is incorrect.

You can find additional information in this Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324900 where they supply both a fix in the form of a patch and a workaround.
