Managing users who can create Web Help Desk tickets

Postby Biker-mouse on Wed Jun 09, 2004 4:36 am

I've got 3 questions, I hope you can answer them!

Is there a opportunity in de User Web Help Desk that we can manage which users can create Help Desk tickets and which user can't?

We use AN Enterprise Edition version 4.3.2, the AN SQL-database runs on a SQL 2000 Server! Can we simply install the Web User Help Desk? Or do we need a web server?

Is there a trial version of the Web Users Help Desk?

Q: Is there a opportunity in de User Web Help Desk that we can manage which users can create Help Desk tickets and which user can't?
A: All Web Users are created with the same rights - they all could create a new Ticket

A: You will need Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0 or later and a few components for it: Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0 SP4 or later, Microsoft Data Access components (MDAC) 2.6 SP2 or later (MDAC 2.8) and Microsoft Database Jet Engine 4.0 SP7 or Jet 4.0 SP8

Q: Is there a trial version of the Web Users Help Desk?
A: Yes, there is. Please send an e-mail to support@alloy-software.com for a trial version.
