submitting tickets with technician help desk

I am able to submit tickets from the user help desk and then edit those tickets from within the technician help desk.

When I try to use the technician help desk to submit a ticket I get this error:

Ticket has not been submitted - SMTP Error: Socket Error # 10061 Connection refused

any ideas on what I can try?

This generally indicates that your email server is rejecting the email as spam.

I'm not sure why it would see the messages from the tech help desk as spam and from the normal help desk as kosher.

Is there a difference in the information sent when you use the technician help desk?

I looked in the global.asa for both my user and tech help desks. The tech help desk was set incorrectly. I updated the global.asa file and now it works properly.

I didn't realize they used different settings for the mailserver.
