Administrator rights to run Asset Navigator

I installed Asset Navigator v4.5 on a colleague's computer as we have a 3-user licence. However, our staff have basic user rights on their machines and Asset Navigator does not work properly without admin rights. It opens with a 'read only database' and then it will not close unless I end the program through Task Manager. Our client machines are Windows XP sp-2 and the database is on Windows Server 2003.

Any ideas how I can rectify this?

Obviously technicians must have rights to the database. I would contact support team.
