Closed Ticket Notification

We would like the requester to receive notification when the status of a ticket is changed to Closed. I have the box checked to send a message when A ticket is closed but no one receives a message when it is closed. Am I doing something wrong.

I usually close tickets by going to Actions and close ticket.

Please help

You should see if other notifications (like New) work to the same user to determine whether this is an issue with Closed notification, or with all notifications.

Notifications for New ticket, Assigned, and new activity work. It is only when a ticket is closed

This behavior relates to a known bug in all current versions which requires that at least one 'Status Changed' notification be active before notifications Closed and Resolved will work. So for now you will need to set a Status Changed notification. A fix for this is scheduled in 4.4, which should be out in 1-2 months.
