Please submit your ideas for new reports!

We are currently looking to expand the lineup of pre-designed reports that are included in Asset Navigator. We need your help in order to include new reports that will be useful to you! Please respond here with suggestions for new reports that you feel would be useful. Remember, the more details you include about the data and layout you'd like to see in the report, the better.

An "unrecognized files by machine" report would be nice.

I would like a report showing what IP-adresses in a range that is "non-occupied". So that we will get a quickview of what IP-adresses is available.

It would be nice with a report, where you can choose a software product, and then the report shows you which computers it is installed at.
This includes the ability to choose a filename instead of a software type.

It would be nice with a report where you can choose a number of Peripheral types, and the report then shows which computers has this kind of peripherals attached.

It would be helpful to have reports that would list leased Computers and Peripherals with the lease start and end dates as well as the model#s and Serial#s of the equipment. It would also be helpful to have a report that would provide a summary of all Purchase Orders by vendor (open or closed) for a specified time period with the dollar amounts of each PO/Line.

Help Desk Ticket Summary by Date

I would like to see a report that will show all helpdesk tickets submitted by date that could include any or all of this information:
A total count of tickets for that date
By person submitting
By assigned technician
Number of completed tickets for that date, etc.
We are trying to track helpdesk activity to determine if/when we need more staff and these reports would really help!

Audit Report

Being able to view the audit info is great but there is data in there that cant be reported.

Like being bale to find out the DHCP settings of machines.

Making sure that systems are configured correctly is a nice thing to have at your fingertips.

You need a hardware section in your reports as most other asset programs give that fungtionality.

Helpdesk report

I would like a report, that i can give 2 dates between on wich tickets there where. Exclude and include options like technichians and status. So that we can discuss about later at a meeting. Also should there be on the solution and activities.

We'd like the ability to have reports that auto run over night and Email themselves, so a report to each technician showing their jobs and statuses and descriptions, a job to managers showing potential SLA breaches etc.

Report Suggestion: Departmental Cost Summary by date range.

I would absolutely love a report that would calculate the total cost of works order tickets by Requestor department for a give period. (as we need to recharge ICT support costs to the requesting dept on a monthly basis).

I anticipate the layout would look something like this:

Dept Requestor Ticket No Cost

Computers with Software Not Installed

I would love to see a report that shows all computers without certain software, such as our antivirus software.

I would also like to run a report on all computers by operating system that shows which ones are missing certain Windows Updates, such as Show All Computers running "Windows XP" that do not have "Hotfix 999999".

Regarding a report showing all computers without certain software installed...

For example, it would be nice to query all computers not running any of the following...
1. Norton Antivirus
2. McAfee Antivirus
3. Panda Antivirus
4. Sophos Antivirus

The purpose would be to determine machines not running any antivirus software.

Audit Info Reports

I would like to be able to produce reports on information in the Audit Info under the Configuration tab.

A couple of examples...

1. Display the list of Startup Programs for each computer.
2. Display all ODBC drivers for each computer.
3. Display all NT Services on each computer with parameters for Startup types Automatic, Manual, Disabled, or all of the above.

For knowlesd,

I just saw your suggestion and have something similar I put together. It's not exactly what you're describing, but it might work. I've attached a copy. To get it into Asset Navigator, create a new blank report in the section where you want it. Open the blank report with the Report Designer, the click on File -> Open from within the report designer and open this file. Then just save it. This will replace the contents (or lack of) of the blank report with this one.

Detailed list of computer assets per user that comes in handy for insurance purposes. E.g. product incl. peripherals incl. serial numbers etc.
